Israeli Box-Office Hits Season The World is Funny

world_is_funny_poster-35x50

“Wondrously strange and tender, an ambitious, multistrand tale about storytelling” Variety

Israel’s number one box office hit, which garnered an unprecedented 15 Ophir Award nominations.

Populated by more than 50 characters, the film is a comic and  tearful allegory on Israeli identity, far away from the news headlines.

Writer and director Shemi Zarhin (AvivaMy LoveNoodle) delivers a modern-day fable that has resonated, greatly, with contemporary Israeli society.
